Memrise is a language learning platform that offers courses in a variety of languages, including French. As a French language learner myself, I have found both positive and negative aspects to using Memrise.

One positive aspect of Memrise is its wide range of course options. The platform offers a variety of French courses, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, as well as specialized courses for specific topics such as French grammar and vocabulary. This means that no matter what level you are at or what you want to focus on, you can find a course that meets your needs.

Another positive aspect of Memrise is its interactive approach to language learning. The platform uses a variety of methods to help you learn and retain new vocabulary, including flashcards, quizzes, and games. This makes learning French on Memrise enjoyable and engaging, rather than feeling like a chore. The flashcards are useful if you are preparing for the DELF exams because thy allow you to memorise key DELF-specific vocabulary such as the formules de politesses or greetings for a letter, both of which are highly useful for the oral and written sections of the DELF exams.

On the negative side, Memrise is a bit expensive. While the platform does offer a free version, many of the more advanced courses and features are only available with a paid subscription. This may be a barrier for some language learners who are on a tight budget.

It is also not as comprehensive as some other language learning platforms. It primarily relies on user generated content, which is often not of a high quality. While it does cover a wide range of material, it may not go as in-depth as some learners would like. This means that you may need to supplement your learning with other resources in order to truly master the French language.

I think Memrise is a great resource for French language learners. Its wide range of course options and interactive approach make it enjoyable and effective, but the cost, lack of depth and varied quality may be drawbacks for some learners.
